Top 10 Songs You Have to Stop On While In the Car
You just have to stop on these songs as you are driving and here are a few prerequisites to make the list…
- You have to be driving home from work.
- You have to be flipping through the stations, kinda irked.
- You have to stop on the song no matter where it is, it can be at the beginning, the end or anywhere in between and finish listening to the rest of the song.
- The song makes you turn up the volume
- You have to sing along… preferably at the top of your lungs, remember this is after work.
- You have to know the song quick enough, within three notes, no lingering on a station trying to figure it out, hoping it’s a top ten.
So… Here we go!
10. One bourbon, one scotch and one beer by George Thorogood
9. Jet by Paul McCartney and Wings
8. Bennie and the Jets by Elton John
7. Superstition by Stevie Wonder
6. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
5. A Land Down Under by Men at Work
4. Would I lie to You by The Eurythmics
3. Born to Boggy by Hank Williams Jr
2. Come on Eileen by Dexy’s Midnight Runners
and my kid’s will like this one…
1. Shine by Collective Soul
Thanks to youtube you can review these for yourself and make your own list.
But as I was “ahem” researching for this article I started paying attention to the youtube views and I thought a few of the numbers were astounding. So here is the list in order of the youtube views.
10. Born to Boogy at 494,000
9. Jet at 1,419,761
8. One bourbon, one scotch and one beer at 3,766,394
7. Would I lie to You at 3,978,372
6. Bennie and the Jets at 6,315,796
5. A Land Down Under at 8,916,815
4. Come on Eileen at 16,420,040
3. Shine at 17,893,315
2. Superstition at 26,709,350
and here is the one that really astounded me…
1. Bohemian Rhapsody at a WHOPPING 293,961,360!!
So that just makes me have to ask what are the top ten viewed music videos on youtube?
Ok I shouldn’t have asked. 2.6 billion views for “Gangnam Style” and The Biebs coming in at 1.9 Billion views for “Sorry”.
As I progress through my “emerging man phase” and get caught up to the world I can see I will have to re-calibrate the old noggin.
But think about that for a moment, Justin Bieber and his minions absolutely crush artists like Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney!
In the words of the immortal Vince Lombardi, “What the hell is going on out there!!”
You do know who Vince Lombardi is… don’t you??
