One thing I won’t lie to you about is the fact that the whole world will try to keep you in your place when you do finally decide to examine your life honestly and you come to the conclusion that you want to change something.
The Bible is true when it says, “even your own family will be your enemy”, good thing it also says, “love your enemies.”
The very fallenness of the world drags on us as we try to follow Jesus through it, through the battle smoke lingering in the air, moving from one place to another.
I had two instances that helped me today…
- A student I am working with was asking to see my notebook and how I have it organized for my writing. I showed him. And as he was asking me questions I became very aware that I was ‘ministering’ to this student using our common interest of writing. He writes poetry. He will always ask me if I think it is good. I tell him it is. For who he is and where he is at in his writing endeavor. I think a few are rather good. They are his honest thoughts about his current situation. Just what all great writing is supposed to be.
- I received a kudo from a customer that was sent to our whole department by the receptionist who took the call, the email read, Â Â Â “3 cheers for Dave!”
Do you know today,
was the first day,
that I did not feel….. Â Â invisible.
