Psalm 27:6
“I will sing and make music to the Lord.”
I’ve been trying to find the time to reschedule my guitar lessons. They are self taught lessons using Party Marty off of YouTube. Trying to learn ‘Stuck in Lodi’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
As I’m trying to learn, this is one topic where all the easy access info on the internet isn’t really helping.
Every one says, “I do it this way.”, the next guys says, “No, I do it this way.” every person that plays the guitar gets to the song a different way.
Ron at church says, “there is no secret to it, it’s just practice, practice, practice, until you find your sound.”
note: Now I see why God had Ron talk to me.
I was asking everybody but God, so I asked God, “if music is an expression of who you are, in my heart, who am I?”
God answered with, ‘My heroes have always been Cowboys’.
Ain’t that the truth!
Willy Nelson, ‘My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys’, chords DGEA, in a 3beat strum, a bit easier to get to than ‘Stuck in Lodi’ by CCR.
As I catalog my journey to success I have to say I have learned the chords but I can’t claim success at the guitar just yet.
