Labels?
Does God use labels like we do?
His nature would say no.
Does he use them, yes. But not like we do.
CAUTION…
We label things good or bad and then proceed to place ourselves above those things we deem bad.
Romans 2:1 NIV
2Â You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
We all sin and fall short of the glory of God.
But don’t we have to label it?
Otherwise how would you know what poison is?
God labeled creatures with warnings.
The Monarch Butterfly is the most beautiful, but birds do not eat it because they know it is poisonous. How do they know, it’s beauty marks label it as such.
The wasp and hornets families are labeled both yellow and black and white and black, colors we all recognize now as DANGER! DANGER!
The dreaded snakes, poisonous and non-poisonous or in French ‘serpent venimeux’ and ‘serpent non-toxique’.
God gave snakes different pupils in their eyes. Non-toxique have round pupils.
‘Serpent Venimeux’ have slits or oblong pupils like a cat.
Are you really going to get close enough to a snake to look him in the eye? And end up like Mougli! No Thanks!
No! The only label you need is SNAKE! And you kill it any way possible, lawn mowers work, shovels or ‘crush it’s head with your heel’.
We falsely label people all the time, throughout time, and create negative imagery in order to disassociate from them being people.
Labels like, people of color, savages, uneducated, huddled masses, nigger or spic. Among other terrible words.
Then we can keep them down and ourselves elevated.
People are people.
Some people are snakes. Some people are the same as you.
And just like with snakes, you have to look a person in the eye to know the difference.
But can you get that close? Do you even want to?

In it John Cena says, “don’t judge based on the labels”.
The bible states, “don’t judge.”
God uses labels, I use labels, you use labels, just don’t affix hate to that label to make yourself feel better.
